From his early days working on a Kansas wheat farm, to his years in the Philippines, to the 1965 Selma/Montgomery march, and on through his studies of theology and psychotherapy, Rotz draws on his unique background for this far-ranging collection of stories.

He has been a sculptor of stone and metal, a blacksmith, licensed general contractor, boat builder and teacher.
