These are the English ancestors and cousins of the Twillingate, Newfoundland Colbournes described in Volume II, published in 2012. The story begins with William Colbourne born in Warwickshire circa 1305 and traces the Colbourne families as they spread to the other English counties of Stafford, Somerset, Suffolk, Dorset, Cambridge, Salop (Shropshire), Norfolk and Hampshire.The spelling of the Colbourne name has many variants even within a common document.
