The PURPLE PLEXIFIER 4K is a four-knob version of the previous Purple Plexifier that offers even more control. You can freely control the tone with the MID knob. Plexi is a transparent board made from acrylic. Why do these words pierce the sensibilities of rock guitarists?
This amplifier, commonly known as a "plexi amplifier", refers to a vintage British-made amplifier produced around 1969 with a Plexiglas (acrylic board) control panel.

In 1962, when there were no PA systems like today, the guitar amp that was created in search of a louder sound would later go on to make rock history.

Even though it is simply called a plexi amplifier, there are many variations in tone due to differences in output, combo, stack, and model. The sound that comes to mind when we say "plexi sound" is none other than the tones played by legendary masters.

That's the tone that PURPLE PLEXIFIER 4K aimed for. That gorgeous plexi sound with a “hot rod” customization. Furthermore, the "brown" sound is admired by guitarists all over the world and whose sound is still being tested. With PURPLE PLEXIFIER 4K, you can get what you would call "that sound."

There is one thing that is most important when reproducing such plexi sound. That's amp distortion. There's no point in simply making a modified plexi highly distorted and producing the sound you get when you play the guitar as hard as you can.
Even at full gain settings, if you play hard, the sound will be distorted, and if you play weakly, it will be clear. The strength of the distortion can be freely controlled by the guitarist, and every detail is conveyed to the fullest. However, it should not be too sensitive, and should allow players to enjoy the sound with ease. In other words, you want the same response and balance of clean and distortion as a real great guitar amp.

The PURPLE PLEXIFIER 4K delivers beautiful tones in the sweet spot common to many plexi amps, from clean to full gain to custom, high-gain plexi territory. You can freely control the tone with a small housing, 3 simple knobs, and 1 trim pot.

PURPLE PLEXIFIER 4K is not only characterized by the response, balance, and sound of a real amp. The wide range of tones that can be obtained by combining the TREBLE and MID knobs is also unique to BJF.
Many amplifiers, including plexiamps, are equipped with a 3-band equalizer, but the PURPLE PLEXIFIER 4K does not.
PURPLE PLEXIFIER 4K creates sound based on the low range of the guitar itself. By not controlling this, the overall distortion base is used as a reference point, and the timbre can be easily adjusted from there.
When you start creating sounds with the PURPLE PLEXIFIER 4K, first adjust the treble and mid-periphery sounds with the MID knob. Turn it counterclockwise to cut the midrange and create a shredder tone. It maintains a solid and tight tone, so even if you cut the mids, the sound won't become hazy. Turning it clockwise will emphasize the midrange and create a warmer tone.
Once you have decided on the basic direction of the tone, the final step is to adjust the TREBLE. The TREBLE knob controls the tone balance around 2kHz. If you set the MID knob to push out the mids strongly, the TREBLE knob will only be used to fine-tune the tone. Cutting the mid will make the effect of the TREBLE knob stronger.

An amp-like pedal with a wide gain range from clean to distortion. However, there are surprisingly few pedals that can use the entire range from clean to full gain like a real amp.
PURPLE PLEXIFIER 4K has a design unique to BJF that always uses a stable low range as a reference, sets the midrange to high range to your preference, and then balances the high range, producing British clean, bluesy crunch, and relaxed overdrive. , HR/HM high gain, you can balance the tone to your liking with any gain setting.
