A large oak Wainscot chair.A good looking, large, oak Wainscot chair or armchair. The auction house reckoned it was late 17th early 18th century. (I do wonder if it's 18th or later though the edges to the back stretcher maybe feels too 'sharp' and not worn enough to be 17th or early 18th, although that stretcher could be a later replacement? Either way, it's a very attractive statement piece and looks really good in any surrounding.

Excellent condition, no loose joints, a slight surface split to part of the seat (see photos), all very strong and sturdy.
