Anti-static

The brushes are made to avoid build-up of static electricty, which avoids dust clinging to the film or brushes. This keeps the brushes and film cleaner even with extended use.

Soft film-tested brushes

We tested a wide range of brushes before ending on these, meticulously and testing them with film to ensure there is no chance that the brushes scratch your precious film.

Double brushes

The double-brush configuration of the Duster ensures that both sides are clean, unlike when you use just compressed air to blow away dust only on one side.

Aluminium construction

The brushes are set in an aluminium frame with screws. This ensures that it's both sturdy and clean, but also allows you to switch the brushes with a standard screwdriver.

70mm wide - Medium format compatible

Use the Duster with medium format film. The brushes are about 70mm wide, making them great both for 35mm and medium format film.

In use

The Duster is a set of anti-static brushes set in a high-quality CNC machined aluminum frame specifically designed to work with the 360 Advancer or the easy120. It attaches to the accessory threaded holes on the back of the Advancer using thumbscrews. You can then thread your film through the Duster before it goes into the film holder so that it is freshly dusted when it gets scanned.

A double brush like this is great for getting dust and other particles off your film without having to constantly blow air on it (though if you combine the two you will get even more dust-free results). This results in less dust-spotting on your final scan, saving you hours in front of the computer.

Remember to clean the brushes regularly by running a clean finger through them rapidly a few times. You can also remove them to clean them. The brushes are user-replaceable and we will be selling spares.
