This button is from the late 20th century when women's fashion included buttons on their garments. The center of this button has a steel cut filigree cage like star placed on top of a carved purple white shell. Circa 1890s. To create this brooch I work with coloured carded wool fleece, needle felting the wool into a unique design. It is then hand sewed and beaded

This button is from the late 20th century when women's fashion included buttons on their garments. The center of this button has a steel cut filigree cage like star placed on top of a carved purple white shell. Circa 1890s.
To create this brooch I work with coloured carded wool fleece, needle felting the wool into a unique design. It is then hand sewed and beaded with a lock brooch pin on the back.
The dimensions are: width = 1 7/8" and the length 2 3/4".
