FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is a shorter sword called in fantasy and history?
A shorter sword is commonly called a short sword, arming sword, or dirk depending on the culture and era. In fantasy settings, short swords are often carried by elven characters and rangers as nimble, fast blades. The Silverleaf Elven-Inspired Short Sword Replica, at 18–20 inches overall, falls into the classic short sword category elegant, slim, and well-balanced.
What are elvish swords typically called in fantasy lore?
In fantasy literature and films, elvish swords are often given names rooted in ancient elvish languages words meaning "light," "star," "leaf," or "silver." Famous elvish blade names from popular fantasy worlds include references to glowing, leaf-shaped, or rune-inscribed designs. The Silverleaf replica draws from this tradition with its rune-engraved blade, leaf-profile shape, and silver elvish fittings.
What is Red Pakka Wood and why is it used for sword handles?
Pakka wood (also called stabilized wood) is natural wood that has been infused with resin under pressure, making it extremely durable, moisture-resistant, and dimensionally stable. Red Pakka wood gives the Silverleaf sword its deep burgundy color and smooth, premium feel. It is one of the best handle materials for collector's knives and swords because it combines natural beauty with long-term durability.
Is the Silverleaf Elven Short Sword good for display or gifting?
Yes. The red Pakka wood handle, rune-engraved blade, and natural wood scabbard make this one of the most visually striking display pieces in the JW SteelCrafts collection. It ships presentation-ready in its wooden scabbard and makes an outstanding gift for fantasy enthusiasts, collectors, cosplay lovers, and fans of elvish-inspired art and design.
How long is a typical elvish short sword?
In most fantasy settings, elvish short swords range from 18 to 24 inches overall. The Silverleaf Elven-Inspired Short Sword Replica measures 18–20 inches total matching the classic short sword proportions used in fantasy fiction. This compact size makes it ideal for wall display, desk display, costume use, and collector display cases.

This will work but prep is key!
I have an older RV that the gelcoat has dulled and is oxidized, but otherwise in good shape. I have buffed and polished in the past only for it to last a short time. I was looking up different products to try and this one has such good reviews, I thought I would give it a try. I bought the kit with the Poliglow and the Poliprep, with the scrubber and the microfiber glove. I started with the poliprep and it did a great job of gettting the streaks and black marks off. You spend a lot of time scrubbing to your likeness because anything that is still on the gelcoat when you apply the poliglow, it will be locked in there. The Poliglow is like a clearcoat that goes over the gelcoat. You have to build up layers and here are some of the tips and tricks I figured out that really helped my finished RV look great. First, make sure the applicator stays damp, this keeps the poliglow more uniform across the glove. Also, stick it in a zip lock bag when not using, you do not want it to dry out while you are using it. I found out that applying this in direct sunlight in warm temps, is the best method. This allows the poliglow to dry really fast. The first 3 or 4 layers will look streaky and dull but this is ok and as you build up the layers, the shine will come back. I found if you do this when its cooler, the layers do not dry as quick and you will get some permanent streaking or running. I had to remove a section I did in the evening because I noticed this. When in direct sunlight, this gave me the best results with no streaking or running. It dries fast and you can keep working. Like it says, do not do big sections at a time, keep it to small what you can reach sections and build those up and move on. As far as how much to buy? I have a 40 ft toy hauler and I got to kits and I had just enough to finish the whole thing minus the nose cap. I have Durabak on the nose cap, so I dont need to worry about that. I ended up buying one more bottle of the poliglow to have for my maintenance coats. Overall, I am pleased with how my 10 year old RV looks and other than some of the decals show age, it looks new again. If I were to buy a new RV, I would put this on right away and preserve the whole RV including the decals. Its not too expensive and its a lot of work, especially the prep, but it does end up with great results.

Excellent shine
Excellent line of products. Looking at the picture, you can see what the camper looked like before the Poli Glow. To the left of the window is the after Poli Glow.
It takes some elbow grease (follow instructions well) but well worth it.

Camping enthusiast approved
One bottle covered my 20ft camping trailer 4 coats and with a little remaining for future touch ups. It definitely increases the gloss. I'm glad I didn't waste my time with wax. This is like an easy wipe on clear coat. I will report back in the future for longevity.

great product and leaves a great shine. The Poli Glow doesn't go as far as the video states and it depends on condition of RV, boat...This is a great product but takes more to get a great shine!!
