Why this livestock?
Assorted Angelfish are among the most recognisable freshwater aquarium fish in the world. Their tall triangular fins, graceful swimming style and calm nature make them a favourite for both beginners and experienced aquarists.
Originating from the Amazon Basin in South America, Angelfish thrive in warm, well-planted aquariums with stable water conditions. They become surprisingly interactive and will often recognise their owners during feeding time.
Each Assorted Angelfish is unique, with colours and patterns varying between silver, marble, koi, zebra and other naturally occurring varieties. Every fish is individually selected for health before leaving our facility.
Common mistakes
- Keeping Angelfish in tanks that are too small.
- Mixing them with fin-nipping species such as Tiger Barbs.
- Housing adult Angelfish with tiny tetras or nano fish.
- Allowing water quality to deteriorate.
- Expecting two random fish to form a breeding pair.

Yes. They're hardy and relatively easy to care for provided they have a suitably sized aquarium with good water quality.
Can Angelfish live in a community aquarium?
Yes. They do well with peaceful fish of similar size, but avoid fin nippers and very small fish that may become food as the Angelfish mature.
How large do Angelfish grow?
Adult Angelfish typically reach around 10–15cm in body size and can exceed 20cm in total height including their fins.
What do Angelfish eat?
They are omnivores and enjoy quality pellets, flakes, frozen foods such as bloodworms and brine shrimp, along with occasional live foods.
