Do you have someone in your life that you don’t see as often as you should or would like to, but as soon as you do, you pick up right where you left off? That’s me (Andy) and my friend Evelyn. I met Evelyn many years ago pouring wine around LA, trying to get on menus and bottle shop shelves. She poured our mutual friend Doug and I some fantastic Jura Chardonnay, fed us a crazy lunch and the rest is history: simpatico forever. In 2020 - 2022 we tried to make Riesling together but could never quite make the timing or fruit work out. In 2023 though, I made something that was just what it should be; bright, linear, ripe, sunny, stony, slightly French and utterly California… which somehow also encapsulates our friendship in a nutshell, I’d say. So, pick up this bottle for yourself and an old friend… your meilleur ami. Call them up, sit for a while and share the laughter of your lives lived thus far and the dreams of the life yet to come. 

Vinification: Direct press Willamette Valley Riesling sent to a combination of 1st fill and neutral French oak barrels. Rested for 11 months and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
