Penalties Of Love is the debut 12" from 21 year old vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and producer Sequoyah Murray. It is a remarkable debut, striking in it's maturity and originality. Writing deeply confessional lyrics and creating abstract textured song structures, Sequoyah is a product of his time, place and borderless generation, making music that is both wildly experimental and unforgettably accessible, his lyrics proudly recasting his vulnerabilities as strengths. He was born into a musical family Atlanta, Georgia, one of the music capitals of the world: his mother is a singer, and his father a percussionist, both having spent their lives as creative musicians. If his first loves were the east African music introduced to him by his father and his mother's sumptuous falsetto, the booming baritone of Arthur Russell became one of his oldest friends and most important touchstones. Just like Russell, his music is at once a self-created world and the result of deeply organic collaboration. While Sequoyah serves as his own producer, he enlisted the help of acclaimed producer and remixer James Ginzburg (Empstyset, Ginz, Bleed Turquoise) & David Corney to mix. Nice and comfy, light duty and feel great.

What they may lack in "durability" i.e. very light and thin = not going to last all that long, they make up for in fit [yes even for wide shoulders], comfort and style. If you want them to last, suggest a gentle cycle and just take ot easy on them. They are light, thin, and airy. Nice summer shirt.

A true vacation find!

Really nice choice. Got it for my husband and he really liked the style. I loved how it fit on him and the lightness of the fabric. Great for hot, sunny weathered days, or warm nights. A true vacation find. Both comfy and stylish. He would have preferred it be 100% cotton, but I think he didn't really mind after steaming it. He commented on the color too. A beautiful sage green!

Nice but short

Yes, I purchased this shirt for my husband to wear on Mother’s Day. He looked so handsome and the color complimented his skin tone beautifully. The only con that my husband expressed was that the shirt was short but was comfortable and the fabric felt good on his skin. He is 6’3” and usually wears an XLT. Coofandy, Please make these shirts for taller, longer torso men!

Expensive Look Without The Expense!

Sizing:
If you’re a true large like me and close to but less than fifteen pounds overweight, normal length and with a 44” chest, buy a medium and use the shirt to inspire you to lose the beer belly. If you have similar dimensions but are overweight by up to thirty pounds, get the large.
Materials: The mediums are manufactured to 70% synthetic, 30% linen—which is a great mix, as is doesn’t have to be ironed after it’s washed and hung to dry, nor does it have to be ironed every time you get up from a chair. I’ve had many 100% linen shirts and sure, they look great after you spend thirty minutes ironing them, just to look like a crumpled up newspaper after you get out of your car. My experience with linen shirts is what brought me here.
Unboxing the shirt:
I threw it on an ironing board the moment I unbagged it. I tried the Synthetic setting on the iron—it wasn’t enough. I then tried the Wool setting and set the steam setting to constant medium to high. It worked great. I didn’t have to press down at all, just lightly glided the iron across wrinkled areas of the shirt. Within five minutes, the shirt looked like a hundred-dollar shirt. The material is light, yet feels heavy to the touch and breathes very well in the heat. The hidden buttons give a clean, modern look that allows the shirt to be worn with anything from shorts and sandals to dress slacks and shoes in a club. I like to wear these shirts, untucked with a pair of jeans and western boots. This shirt is very comfortable, fits nice and is extremely versatile.
