Cherry Ruffles™ Cherry Laurel is an evergreen shrub with a compact, mounding growth habit. It typically reaches a height of 10-15 feet with a similar spread. The leaves are glossy and dark green, but what sets this cultivar apart is its unique ruffled or wavy leaf margins, giving it an interesting texture.

In the spring, Cherry Ruffles™ Cherry Laurel produces small, white flowers in upright clusters called racemes. The flowers are fragrant and attract bees and other pollinators. However, the primary ornamental feature of this cultivar is its foliage rather than its flowers.

Cherry Ruffles™ Cherry Laurel is a relatively low-maintenance plant. It prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. It is adaptable to a range of soil conditions and is drought-tolerant once established. Pruning can be done to maintain its shape or remove any dead or damaged branches.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Need to prune after flowering.  Intolerant of heavy fertilization.  Susceptible to shot-hole disease, powdery mildew, and root rot.
