Six Questions Your Maid to Perfection Franchise Financial Model Must Answer

We built this franchise unit financial model using our own research into high-end residential service models. Key assumptions like the $678,000 Year 1 revenue and the 7% royalty fee are pre-populated and fully editable to match your specific territory. It is a realistic look at how the $49,000 Year 1 EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) scales as you add more cleaning crews.

When does the unit turn a profit?

The franchise unit is projected to reach profitability in its first year, generating $49,000 in EBITDA. While Year 1 margins are modest, the net profit grows significantly as revenue hits $1,220,000 by Year 5. Here is the quick math: as you scale from 5 to 9 cleaning crew members, your fixed costs like the $4,800 rent are spread across a much larger revenue base.

Improve Profitability

  • Upsell deep cleaning services
  • Optimize fuel and transportation
  • Reduce supply waste levels
[dynamic_pic9]

What is the total investment?

You will need approximately $152,000 to launch this franchise unit in the US market. This covers the $15,000 franchise fee, $40,000 for hub leasehold improvements, and $40,000 for branded service vehicles. The model also accounts for $20,000 in cleaning equipment and an initial $12,000 supplies inventory to ensure you are ready for day one.

Major Uses of Capital

  • Hub Improvements: $40,000
  • Service Vehicles: $40,000
  • Cleaning Equipment: $20,000
  • Franchise Fee: $15,000
[dynamic_pic10]

What are the investor returns?

Investors can expect an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 3.47% and a Return on Equity (ROE) of 0.46 over the initial five-year period. The payback period is estimated at 4 years, which is standard for a service-based franchise with significant upfront vehicle and equipment costs. Still, the cash flow becomes much more attractive once the initial debt or investment is recovered.

Key Investor Metrics

  • IRR: 3.47%
  • Payback: 4 Years
  • ROE: 0.46
[dynamic_pic11]

What is the monthly break-even?

The unit reaches its monthly break-even point in April 2026, just 4 months after launching. To cover the $4,800 monthly rent and the $130,000 in combined management salaries, you must maintain high utilization of your cleaning crews. Labor is your biggest lever; if your crew productivity dips, your break-even point will defintely push further out.

Levers for Speed

  • Maximize crew daily jobs
  • Increase average ticket price
  • Control recurring supply costs
[dynamic_pic12]

How much cash runway is needed?

The lowest cash point occurs in May 2026, with a minimum cash balance of $1,049,000 suggested to handle the initial ramp-up and CAPEX (capital expenditures). This model assumes you have a significant buffer to handle the timing gaps between paying your crew and receiving client payments. You will need about 4 months of runway to safely navigate the pre-revenue and early growth phases.

Protect Cash Flow

  • Phase vehicle acquisitions
  • Negotiate lease tenant credits
  • Manage inventory just-in-time
[dynamic_pic13]

How do scenarios change results?

In a High scenario, increasing your average ticket for organizational services can push Year 1 EBITDA well above the $49,000 baseline. Conversely, a Low scenario where recurring plans grow 20% slower would extend the 4-year payback period and increase peak cash needs. The model shows that Year 1 margins are sensitive to labor efficiency, so keeping your crew busy is the top priority.

Hit the High Case

  • Focus on Westlake referrals
  • Boost client retention rates
  • Train leads on upselling

Liked it

I liked the worlds and the characters. The prophesy is confusing in that I would think, since all worlds ore on a path to destruction, the angels would want their world to be saved. I am sure there is more evil that will be revealed as the series proceeds. I dislike a prolonged “poor little me” trope and the main character has moved past that, thankfully, and began to show a fierce attitude as the novel progressed. The last portion of the novel had some great action. It’s worth reading, just be patient with a slow start.

Unexpectedly emotional and packed with action!
Format: Kindle
Why do I suddenly want nothing more than a tiny wyvern to snuggle with?! It’s adorable and I absolutely love all of those moments! Wings of Stars was everything I’ve come expect from this powerful author duo. The fact that it’s written by two different people is completely transparent to the reader and they’ve brought us another world and characters that we’re all emotionally connected to and fully invested in! The injustice that we see from Alfemir in the many forms in which it comes is infuriating and makes me desperate for the conclusion of the story so they can all get what’s coming to them! I love all the guys right now, with one exception, and if you’re read it, you know exactly who I’m talking about. Bastian is hilarious - he was the comedic relief through an otherwise quite serious story. My heart bleeds for him and I can’t wait to see how he progresses through the series. Parts of Wings of Stars were unexpectedly emotional and of course I was left with my jaw on the floor at that cliffhanger! Next, please!

Niz !!!
Format: Kindle
First, let me say that I love both of these authors. I have been hooked by both ever since I discovered their writings, and I follow their social media groups closely. This book did not disappoint. Sure, there are several questions that I have, a couple of times I went huh (which I won't get into because I do not want to offer any spoilers) and I hated the cliff hanger lol, but I cannot lie and say I didn't love the book, because I did. The twist on angels was new and fresh, even though that is part of my questions. The beginning and ending were the better parts, the middle was needed but sorta bogged a little. Kieran was confusing but relatable. Niz is BY FAR the best character of the book, love NIZ. For me, Bastian is a close second, always loved the crazy ones. The other men were good, but Steele gets on my nerves and as of right now, IMO, he doesn't belong, but we will see how that goes. I have lots of questions, but this was an excellent start to a new series and I cannot wait for the next book. Highly recommend

fallen destiny? more like destined to fall in love
Format: Kindle
Kieran is an angel, but she doesn't have an affinity. Nothing angers her father more. If she doesn't find an affinity soon she will be cast to earth & have her wings removed. But she has the choice to become a fallen angel, wings turn black, & live her life on edge. Towards the end of the book things start to make sense. Gabe’s nickname for Kieran, Steele’a hatred, Bastian’s belief that Kieran is powerful. This book ended literally during a war? As one of her friends was injured, and admitted a bit secret? Talk about cliff hanger. The next book comes out August 5th.

Well holy moly!
Format: Kindle
Holy moly that story definitely had me hooked! Kieran was definitely a character that I immediately adored. She has obviously had to deal with a butt load of too high expectations from her father (who is 🤬).. She has been helpless when it came to finding out her affinity with so many years of no answers & perceived failure. When Ronan, gives her a small inkling of hope that she be a Beast Tamer, she jumps into it. But again she doesn’t seem to fit. But when she runs into Gabe again, she ends up helping him & rethinking her life in Alfemir. And when the opportunity comes she decides leaving is the best option. But when Ronan demands he comes with her & then the random appearance of Bastian, she is feeling very overwhelmed. After she chooses to fall with them, they land on earth exactly where Gabe is located only to run into Steele who is a person that I was finding hard to like. After training, she eventually finds out she does have an affinity & it’s one that no longer exist & is incredibly powerful but also has a prophecy attached to it. I feel incredibly bad for her on she learns about the prophecy & Steele’s connection with it too. But that ending, with the battle scene & Niz….yeah definitely was not expecting that but hello I am all here for it too! Absolutely amazing start of a series & I for sure will be waiting for the next one to come out. Amazing job!
