It wasn't just the fact that Marcondes scored the goal to take them back to the top division for the first time in 74 years that gave him his Cult Hero status. But the playoff final was looking like his final game for the club, and so once the final whistle blew, and The Bees lifted the trophy, he took that very trophy around the local pubs in Brentford to celebrate with the fans. Whether or not it was his last game for Brentford, the fans will never forget their cult hero, Emiliano Marcondes.
