The Novice Cardigan – Mohair Edition is worked from the top down with  two strands of thin mohair/silk yarn held together throughout.  You begin by working the ribbed neck edge, then you work the yoke, then the body and finally the sleeves. The cardigan is worked in stocking stitch, while the edges are worked in rib. The Novice Cardigan – Mohair Edition has a round yoke, which is shaped by working 4 sets of increases evenly distributed along the yoke.

Nine Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL
The sizes are designed to fit an approximate bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm

Finished Measurements
Bust circumference:  96 (100) 105 (111) 120 (129) 140 (151) 161 cm
Length: 52 (54) 56 (58) 59 (60) 61 (62) 63 cm measured mid back

Size guide: The Novice Cardigan – Mohair Edition is designed to have approx. 10cm  of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be approx. 10cm larger in circumference than your widest upper body measurement.

Measure yourself before beginning your project to determine which size will fit you the best. This means that if, for example, you measure 90cm around your bust or widest upper body part (measure yourself around your bust, or your widest point, using a measuring tape), you should knit a size S which has a circumference of 100cm. This will give you 10cm of positive ease.

Please note that knitting to the correct gauge is essential to end up with a garment that has the measurements given in the pattern.

Gauge: 21 stitches x 28 rows = 10 x 10cm in stocking stitch on 4mm needles with 2 strands of silk mohair held together, after blocking.

Materials

Suggested needles: Circular needles: 3.5mm 80cm, 4mm / 40 and 80 and/or 100cm needles; Double-pointed needles: 3.5mm needles, unless using the Magic loop method on the sleeves.

Yarn: approx. 200 (200-225) 225 (250) 250 (275) 300 (325) 350-375 grams of a silk mohair yarn based on 212 metres per 25 gram ball.  We suggest using Rowan Kidsilk Haze, Katia 50 Mohair Shades, or Shibui Silk Cloud

Note: Two strands of yarn are held together throughout the pattern. The given yardage amounts are the total yardage required.

Also needed 9 buttons (approx. 15mm).

Works Very Well
Size: 120g 8.5" x 11"
I am new to sublimation printing, and purchased this based on recommendations from multiple websites. I'm so glad I did! It transfers well onto several mediums, including shirts, totes, mousepads and cups. I've never had any jams or misfeeds, and the quality of the paper is high. I'll definitely purchase again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Easy to use and produces vibrant prints
This Hiipoo sublimation ink has been a fantastic upgrade for my EcoTank printer. The autofill bottles fit perfectly into the ink tanks - no syringes, no mess, and no wasted ink. Refilling is quick and hassle-free, which makes the whole process so much easier. The print quality is excellent. Colors come out bright, vivid, and crisp with great saturation and no fading. It transfers beautifully onto mugs, T-shirts, and tumblers, drying fast without smudges. I really appreciate that it works ICC-free, yet still delivers professional results. The ink is certified and feels reliable, and I’ve had zero clogging issues. Overall, this is a high-quality, easy-to-use sublimation ink that’s perfect for both hobby projects and small business use. Definitely recommend for anyone doing heat transfer printing.

Only Sublimation Ink for Me!!
I recently bought my second set of Hippo Sublimation Ink and continue to be thrilled with the results. This ink has proven to be a fantastic choice for my sublimation projects, delivering on all fronts. Hippo Sublimation Ink works exactly as promised. It sublimates effortlessly onto poly blend items, producing bright, vivid transfers every time. The colors are striking and true to the design, which is crucial for quality sublimation work. The results are consistently impressive, making this ink a reliable option for any project. One of the standout features is the great price. Hippo Sublimation Ink offers excellent value for money compared to other brands. Despite its affordability, it performs just as well—if not better—than more expensive options on the market. Using Hippo Ink in my Epson printer has been a breeze. The ink flows smoothly and doesn’t clog the printer, even after not being used for two weeks!!! I’ve had issues with other brands clogging my printer, leading to frustration and wasted time, not to mention all the maintenance puts wear and tear on the printer. With Hippo, there’s been no such problem, making it a hassle-free choice for sublimation printing. Hippo Sublimation Ink has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance, price, and ease of use. It’s the only ink I will use in my printer from now on. If you’re looking for a high-quality sublimation ink that’s both affordable and reliable, Hippo is an excellent choice. It delivers bright, beautiful transfers and maintains smooth operation without any of the typical issues associated with other brands. Highly recommended!

Great for Sublimation!
I’m a bit new to sublimation and was worried about having dull colors, but this ink is doing wonders! The quality is great, I can adjust the amount on the printer and get the exact, rich, vibrant colors I want. (I found some recommended settings for brightness, contrast, etc… and then tweak the cyan, magenta, and yellow to the desired amount.) I definitely recommend getting this ink! It’s so easy to refill the printer (I have an Eco tank 15000). The cost is not bad at all. I’ve only washed some of the items one time and so far the ink has remained unchanged. Seems like a winner to me!
