90 Varas is a collection that pays tribute to the rich tradition of transhumance and the Merino sheep, a living symbol of Spain’s pastoral heritage. Transhumance, recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, connects seasons, landscapes, and history through the cañadas reales—ancient routes that still preserve the essence of this sustainable herding system.

The name of this collection, 90 Varas, refers to the traditional measure of the width of these routes, equivalent to 75 meters. These paths, stretching over 125,000 kilometers, cover 1% of Spain’s territory and stand as a living testament to the balance between nature and human activity.

With this collection, Wooldreamers celebrates not only the exceptional quality of local
transhumant Merino wool but also the profound respect for the landscapes, culture,
and rural communities that have upheld this tradition for generations.
