Valérarch Serenity is an automatic steel sports watch designed for the contemporary man. All areas of the watch share a coherent design language that is largely based on curvilinear aesthetic found in modern automotive design and classical architecture - with organic curves, pointed arches, and sharp angles. The model underwent a rigorous 2-year design and technical development process in order to craft a signature visual language and to ensure ideal ergonomics. Valérarch's design philosophy is based on two concepts we term contemporary elegance and sartorial finesse. A Case Designed for Comfort & Elegance

9.2mm Slim Case Height 

A slim case creates a lower center of mass which reduces shakiness on the wrist. The Serenity offers a case height of 9.2mm, which provides ideal stability and comfort on the wrist. It also slips under the cuff with ease. 

Arching Lugs

Naturally, our wrists have an oval sectional profile. To accommodate this, the lugs curve down past the bottom line of the case to flow along the wrist and offer a fitted wearing experience. Due to the design, the Serenity wears similar to a 47-48mm lug-to-lug case. 

Medium Size

Serenity 39 is designed to be a medium sized men's watch ideally for wrists between 6.5in (16.5cm) ~ 8in (20cm). Small and Large sized versions are not yet available.

Rhodium Dial & Hands for Brilliance

Rhodium plated

The dark grey color of the dial is created by plating a metal called dark rhodium. The indices, symbol, and hands are plated with white rhodium for maximum brillance. Rhodium, one of the five platinum metals, is considered the rarest and most valuable precious metal in the world, far surpassing gold or platinum in terms of scarcity and price.

Chamfered Applied Indices

The hour indices are chamfered on the edges so they respond dynamically to light. If indices have a flat top, they will reflect light all at the same time - which is not very exciting. On the other hand, by having the chamfered edge details, the indicies respond to light individually. 

Dark Grey

Dark grey is perhaps the most versatile color that matches well with blacks, browns, greys, and blues. It is also the color tone of steel, allowing the form of the watch to be more observable. The understated nature of the dark grey color is a must have for any gentleman’s collection.

Cal. 3301 - Performance & Artistry

Slim & Robust

Cal. 3301 is a luxuriously finished movement created in collaboration with Swiss movement manufacturer Sellita. It is a full rotor automatic movement with a remarkable thinness of 3.6mm. However, even with its exceptional thinness, it does not compromise on its robustness and durability, with superior shock absorption and winding rotor stability. The thinness of the movement allows the caseback to remain very thin and the overall case profile to be sleek.

Exceptional Finishing

Cal. 3301 offers a heightened level of finishing - all the way down to the baseplate. The winding rotor is heavily skeletonized to expose more of what lies beneath, and all edges are beveled and polished for dimensionality. Bridges are finished with Côtes de Genêve on top with polished beveling on edges. The undercuts are finished with snailing and the baseplate features perlage work. Screws are heat-blued and the whole movement is finished in 18K rose gold. The mainspring barrel is skeletonized allowing a view of the mainspring as you wind the watch. All these details require skilled artistry to execute, but they bring out the beauty of the movement architecture.

 

Top Grade Accuracy

Cal. 3301 is based on the SW300-1b, which shares the same architecture to the iconic ETA 2892-2A. Cal. 3301 is regulated to top grade (±4s).

 

The Serenity Bracelet Raises the Standard

Refined Elegance

We wanted to created a slightly thinner bracelet - 19mm instead of 20mm. This subtle difference allows the Serenity bracelet to feel more elegant and dressy.

A Natural Taper

The bracelet tapers from 19mm to 15.5mm over 6 links. To create a natural taper, the smaller interlinks become incrementally smaller in size and the distance between them also becomes shorter down the taper. This level of detailed design work is the reason the bracelet feels so refined.

Smooth to the Touch

Lastly, we wanted to make the bracelet very smooth. The bracelet will be in constant contact with your shirt cuffs throughout the day - and this will cause wear on your shirt cuffs. To avoid this, the links are beveled and polished on the sides and even the smaller interlinks are each beveled and polished. You can imagine the craftsmanship and time that would go into making a such bracelet. The result is a bracelet smooth to the touch and beautiful from all angles.

 

Versatility

Switch between the black calf leather strap and the rubber strap to go from formal to sporty. The quick release system allows you to change straps on the fly without tools. The Serenity was designed to be a balance between sporty and dressy - allowing it to suit any occasion and attire.

International 2-Year Warranty

2-year international warranty is included with your purchase. If you have a problem, send us your watch and our watchmakers in Switzerland will fix it for you. Even after the two year period, you can receive paid repairs and servicing through us.
