Can I keep a Betta in this aquarium?
Yes. With proper filtration, heating and regular maintenance, this aquarium is well suited to a single Betta.
Is it suitable for shrimp?
Absolutely. This aquarium is an excellent choice for Cherry Shrimp and other Neocaridina shrimp colonies.
Does the aquarium need to be cycled?
Yes. Like all aquariums, it should be properly cycled before introducing livestock.
Is this suitable for beginners?
Yes. The included light, lid and compact size make it an excellent first aquarium, provided the basics of aquarium care are followed.
Does the kit include a USB wall power adapter?
No. The LED light is powered via USB and does not include a USB wall power adapter. Most customers already have a suitable USB charger available.
For the best performance, we recommend using the Anko 30W USB Wall Charger available from Kmart. It provides more than enough power for the included LED light and can also be used to power other USB aquarium accessories.
