- Vertigo (1958) is widely regarded as not only one of Hitchcock's best films, but one of the greatest films of world cinema. Made at the time when the old studio system was breaking up, it functions both as an embodiment of the supremely seductive visual pleasures that 'classical Hollywood' could offer and – with the help of an elaborate plot twist – as a laying bare of their dangerous dark side. The film's core is a study in romantic obsession, as James Stewart's Scottie pursues Madeleine/Judy (Kim Novak) to her death in a remote Californian mission. Novak is ice cool but vulnerable, Stewart – in the darkest role of his career – genial on the surface but damaged within
- Although it can be seen as Hitchcock's most personal film, Charles Barr argues that, like Citizen Kane, Vertigo is at the same time a triumph not so much of individual authorship as of creative collaboration. He highlights the crucial role of screenwriters Alec Coppel and Samuel Taylor and, by a combination of textual and contextual analysis, explores the reasons why Vertigo continues to inspire such fascination
- In his foreword to this special edition, published to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the BFI Film Classics series, Barr looks afresh at Vertigo alongside the recently-rediscovered 'lost' silent The White Shadow (1924), scripted by Hitchcock, which also features the trope of the double, and at the acclaimed contemporary silent film The Artist (2011), which pays explicit homage to Vertigo in its soundtrack

Not so much.
Size: 11 In X 14 In
I bought this paper for a photo I took and I needed 4 copies printed. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money so I bought this paper as it was fairly inexpensive. You get what you pay for. A professional photographer friend of mine printed my photos as he has a high end Epson printer. He mentioned to me when handing the prints to me that the quality of the print was average with this paper. The texture and feel of this paper is like a sheet of ordinary typing paper. I guess one could use this paper to print test sheets. I will not buy again.

WOW — Stunning Print Quality
Size: 8.5"X14", Size: 8.5"X14"
WOW WOW WOW. The print quality on this photo paper is absolutely amazing. The colors come out vibrant, sharp, and so professional-looking. I’ve tried quite a few photo papers, and this one is easily one of my favorites.
The paper itself feels high quality and sturdy, and the glossy finish really makes photos pop without looking cheap or overly shiny. It feeds smoothly through my printer and dries quickly with no smudging. Every print comes out crisp and clean.
If you’re looking for professional-level photo paper with incredible color payoff, this is it. Such a great value for the quality you get—I’ll definitely be repurchasing.

Great value glossy photo paper
Size: 5"X7"
This photo paper works really well with my inkjet printer using dye ink. The colors come out bright and sharp, and it dries quickly without smudging or smearing. The glossy finish gives the photos a clean, professional look, and the 180gsm weight makes it feel sturdy without jamming or being too thick for my printer.
So far, I’ve used it for family photos, thank you cards, and a few school projects. The results have been consistent, and I like that there’s no watermark on the back so I can write notes or dates if needed. The pack comes with 100 sheets, which makes it a great value for how well it performs. If you need affordable, good quality glossy paper for home printing, this is a dependable choice that makes projects look polished.
