The Mouse NTS (Neurotensin/neuromedin N) ELISA Kit measures Nts in Mouse Serum, Plasma, Cell Culture Supernatant, Cell or Tissue Lysate. This kit is based on Competitive-ELISA detection method and takes 2h assay time. The microplate provided in this kit has been precoated with Nts. Nts in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of biotin-labeled Nts for sites on a pre-coated antibody specific to Nts. Free components are washed off. After adding HRP-Streptavidin Conjugate (SABC), biotin specifically binds with streptavidin to form immune complexes. Wash off unbound conjugate. Add TMB substrate solution. Then, TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that turned yellow after adding a stop solution. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader. Compare OD450 value of sample with the standard curve through curve fitting software to determine the concentration of Nts in the sample. The concentration of the target substance is inversely proportional to the OD450 value.

It is worth purchasing a Protection Plan on an unfamiliar item
Bought a 3-year protection plan for a nut milk maker machine for $5.99. It was a fairly new kitchen item in our household and we were not familiar with the brand. So, I bought the plan for a piece (peace) of mind. The machine worked nicely for about 18-20 months with daily use until it tripped the circuit outlet. My initial chat with Asurion did not go as I expected due to discrepancy on their end as they see a protection plan for the nut milk maker as a sporting goods valued between $100-$199, not as a kitchen item valued between $30-$39.99. ( I had bought 3 different protection plan on th same day for multiple items purchased on Prime Days). They were looking at a different plan and I was unable to get them to "scroll over" to the appropriate protection plan. I tried again on a different day during the first hour of their contact hours and had a cheerful Asurion agent who was able to find the appropriate kitchen item protection plan. It was a simple and thorough conversation and transaction. I was refunded within hours after I packed up and dropped off the damaged item out to UPS. Moral of the story: Asurion Protection Plan is worth it and contact them at the start of their first day shift, not at the end of their evening shift.
