Challenge students to join forces to find solutions to real-world problems with MainSTREAM Science. This program weaves together Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math seamlessly. Each kit focuses on one Project-Based Learning challenge in which students band together to find a solution to the problem.

All-Inclusive Playgrounds Grades 3–4
Students are faced with the challenge of designing and building a model of an "all-inclusive" playground for their community. In this project promoting the importance of social awareness and inclusivity, students will use the Zip Line Racer STEM Starter packs as a stepping stone for making their own accessible community playground.

Optional Professional Development Add-On
Choose from two professional development training options specifically designed to enhance the MainSTREAM science program. A 2-hour online training for schools and districts takes a deeper dive into the program, and a graduate level (1 unit) 15-hour online course provides teachers with comprehensive background information on the topics addressed and in project-based learning. Contents of Each Kit

• Teacher Resource Book with teacher instructions, background information, and student resources
  
• 30 Copies of the Student Resource Bookwhich contains all the student reproducibles from the Teacher Resource Book including background information pages, activity sheets, assessments, recording sheets, journal pages, and much more
  
• 6 Stem Starter Packsthat provide students with essential tools to complete the hand-on projects. The materials can be used to design and execute a project using creative exploration and the engineering design process.
