Seborrheic dermatitis is a prevalent skin condition that may be either hereditary or caused by bacterial or yeast infections. This condition is marked by the appearance of red patches with yellow-gray scales, commonly found on a dog’s back, face, and sides. A less severe version is dandruff, characterized by dry, flaking skin. The degree of involvement and the severity of symptoms can guide treatment decisions.

Symptoms can include an inflamed scalp, oily or waxy skin, red rashes, and scaly skin resembling dandruff. The combination of salicylic acid, coal tar, and micronized sulfur provides a powerful solution that has been proven effective in treating seborrhea, as well as parasitic and fungal infections. Additionally, it includes colloidal oatmeal and allantoin to moisturize the skin and aid in healing.

Active Ingredients with Benefits:

• Coal Tar: Coal tar acts as a keratoplastic, helping to shed dead skin cells from the surface, enabling the regeneration of new skin. It is often utilized to relieve dermatological problems such as itching, flaking, and scaling due to seborrheic dermatitis or psoriasis.
• Salicylic Acid: This anti-inflammatory ingredient is commonly used in skincare to address seborrheic dermatitis, acne, psoriasis, dandruff, and warts. It promotes the shedding of epidermal cells, helping to clear clogged pores, neutralize bacteria, and prevent future clogging by constricting pores and supporting new cell growth.
• Micronized Sulfur: This ingredient is recognized for its numerous health benefits, including detoxifying properties and its role in reducing chronic inflammation. Sulfur has long been utilized as a fungicide and pesticide. In pets, it helps combat ringworm, seborrhea, mange, and other skin diseases and parasites.
• Oatmeal & Allantoin: Both of these components are known for their excellent skin hydration properties and their ability to promote healing.
• Paraben–Free: Parabens can mimic estrogen in the body, and disruptions to estrogen levels have been linked to breast cancer and reproductive issues. All our products are free from parabens to ensure the safety and health of your pet.
• Soap–Free: Our formulations use only the mildest, naturally derived cleansers, avoiding harsh soaps or damaging detergents.
• pH Balanced: Pets have sensitive skin that requires pH-balanced care. Human shampoos are typically more acidic and should not be used on pets.

Wet the coat and apply the shampoo generously. Work into a rich lather, massaging it into the coat to thoroughly coat the skin. Allow it to remain on your pet for 10-15 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Initially, bathe your pet 2-3 times a week. As the skin condition improves, you can reduce the frequency of use. For topical application only on dogs older than 12 weeks. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation occurs, stop using and consult your veterinarian. Not safe for cats.
