The Flatwater SUP instructor is certified to
- conduct Paddle Canada SUP Flatwater courses and to certify paddlers at those levels,
- assist on the following Paddle Canada SUP skills courses, with prerequisite skills: River 1, Surf 1, Touring 1,
- apprentice on the following Paddle Canada SUP skills courses, with prerequisite skills: River 1, Surf 1, Touring 1, and
- teach SUP on flatwater.
Prerequisites:
- Paddle Canada SUP Flatwater 2

Paddling Skills: Experience beyond that of the Advanced SUP Skills course
- Paddle Canada River 1, Touring 1 and/or Surf 1 recommended
- Basic First Aid/CPR
- Minimum 18 yrs of age
