Two Identical Receivers — Fully Interchangeable Roles
Most base/rover kits pair two different receivers — one designated as the base, one as the rover. This kit ships with two identical R780 Model 2 receivers, meaning either unit can run as the base or the rover at any time. Use one as a base today, swap roles tomorrow, or carry a spare in case of damage on a remote jobsite. Both receivers carry the same dual-radio capability and the same field-proven Trimble GNSS engine.
Both Receivers Run Either UHF or 900 MHz
The R780 Model 2 is Trimble's dual-radio configuration — each receiver can operate on both UHF (410–470 MHz) and 900 MHz spread spectrum radio bands, switchable in the field. With both receivers in this kit being Model 2, you have complete radio flexibility: run UHF for long-range surveying today, switch to license-free 900 MHz for tomorrow's construction site, or hop onto any existing RTK base infrastructure without buying new hardware.
This is meaningful flexibility most kits don't offer — typically you commit to one radio band at purchase. With this kit you don't have to.

The R780 Model 2 receivers in this kit still carry remaining Trimble manufacturer warranty coverage. Message us for the current end-date on each unit's warranty if you need it before purchase. This is uncommon on used Trimble gear and represents real downside protection on the most expensive components in the kit.
The 2-meter 2-piece carbon fiber survey rod and yellow Trimble carrying bag are included for buyers shipping within the lower 48 United States only. Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, and international orders ship the kit without the rod and rod bag due to oversize length-based shipping restrictions. The receivers, controller, software license, batteries, chargers, antennas, cables, and all other components ship worldwide. Carbon fiber rods are widely available locally in most regions.
This complete dual-receiver base & rover kit is in excellent cosmetic and operational condition. Both R780 Model 2 receivers have been verified working, the TSC7 controller is fully activated with your chosen perpetual software license, and all radio, antenna, charging, and accessory components have been confirmed working as a complete RTK system. Ready to deploy on your first job.
