The roots of the Tree reach deep into the Earth, and its spreading crown breaks the boundaries of the edge and its border. This image symbolizes important conditions for new and sustained growth. With warmth, light and nutrients our potentiality can grow.
The other side of this pendant shows the same Tree under different conditions. In the cool of the night, with Moon and Stars reflected in the distant hills, the bare branches of the Tree symbolize the ability to rest and draw Resources inward, so that Energy can be renewed and refreshed. The moon reminds us of the cycle of months which make up a year, while the Stars re-connect us to wonder and awe of eternity.
The overall shape of the pendant, resembling a pointed arch, emphasizes the connection between earth and heaven and symbolizes the ability to rise to one's highest good. The arch is also an important device in architecture, carrying stress from above gracefully down to the base.
The imagery carved within the boundaries of the arch transcends the sides of the arch, symbolizing the need for boundaries while also being able to move outside their constraints. The whole shape terminates in a pointed base, echoing the top form, while also suggesting an ability to balance on a delicate point of contact.
Pendant is 1+7/8" tall x 7/8" wide x 1/8" thick, which includes the bail where the chain goes through. It is shown on the 3.2 mm Oval Rolo Chain.
