The first Christmas album of the year, Christmas In Dub, has landed, and it sounds a lot like dub. Last Christmas seems only moments away, but that hasn't stopped these four doughty Swiss musicians from decking the halls in their studio, getting the bass speakers to rumble and the loops to trill. In dulci dub jubilo! In their low-slung reindeer racing sleigh, Dub Spencer & Trance Hill glide through the night of nights with twelve box-fresh cover versions pumping through their speakers, utterly unafraid of overworking a cliché. Statistically, "love" is probably the most common subject in song lyrics, and many trite lines have been dedicated to it, closely followed by "Christmas". Now, this Zurich/Lucerne collective have lavished their charming, futuristic sound elements on the topic, pounding through this winter wonderland, hovering somewhere between pop, dub and surreal electronics, liberally spiced with retro roots rocker attitude with a lavish scattering of warm analog delay and reverb effects. This album sits skillfully right at the intersection of elevator muzak and elegant dub, and it has a very simple, unpretentious message: Without a groove there's no dub, and no Christmas either. For some of the tracks, it's only the second time round that you realize which Christmas song is being covered. The bass line is crucial, as it is usually the instrument that plays the Christmassy themes. "Never change a winning song", thought Dub Spencer & Trance Hill, instead opting to give these themes a much slacker treatment. The scent of fir branches, incense, the Northern Lights and interesting biscuits comes together with a warm Hammond organ, funky guitars, rich drum grooves and a bass that is practically subsonic to create an intelligent, mischievous and leftfield masterpiece. Following their impressive encounters with artists such as William S. Burroughs, Lee Perry, Dieter Meier, and Ken Boothe, the internationally-lauded Swiss band have now added their idiosyncratic spin on Christmas, treating Santa to a dub makeover with neo-folk collages in reindeer jumpers and minimal dub with space for recorders. Christmas simply couldn't sound any better or more flamboyant!

Very Pleased with Room Divider

This room divider is even better than I expected. It's sturdy but is lightweight enough that I could get the box up a flight of stairs with no problem whatsoever. It folds and unfolds easily and is very easy to move. And there's no assembly required! It really is woven and is quite attractive. The main reason I chose this item was price (although I did like the way it looked) and I got more for my money than I thought I would.

Works well

i bought this for 3 reasons.
1. Privacy when changing so I don't have to lock dog out of room.
2. In case MIL comes over and wants to snoop. She won't be able to see my bedroom.
3. A nice backdrop to use when taking photos of the clothing I make.
This is perfect for me.
My only "complaint" is that it is not the most sturdy thing. I have to finagle it in a way that keeps it from falling over.
But for the price, it can't be beat!

Cheap and unstable

Although this has nothing to do with the product, it arrived a day later than previously stated. Making me have to create a makeshift room divider the day it was actually needed. When the product arrived it arrived in a box that showed no evidence of damage. Once opened, divider was found inside a plastic cover. Great protector for dust or scratching. The divider was fully assembled so there was nothing for me to do but remove it from packaging and use it where needed. After further inspection the divider was not only cheap and flimsy looking it was absolutely unstable. It would wobble and appears to have been assembled in a rush making some panels crooked. I noted significant damage to the bottom portion of some of the panels both front and back. It does not feel like an item worth the price. The color is as advertised and the product had no smell. The sizing was accurate.

Excellent privacy shade.

This delivered on exactly what it promises. So happy with the quality for the value. The shades are a fabric, nylon like, that are attached with a pocket on one end and velcro that adheres around the bar on the other.
This was incredibly easy and straightforward to put together. Every piece was clearly labeled, coordinated with the instruction sheet, and fit perfectly. Honestly, I wasn’t planning to leave a review but I was so impressed by how clearly labeled and well explained the instructions were that I felt compelled to note it. Especially for anyone who doesn’t like putting things together, or is used to subpar instructions, this is leagues above the rest. It’s such a simple build anyway, but after buying so many things that barely fit as they should, this stands out.
It is lightweight and easy to move. Offers privacy when opened, then can be folded out of the way. It looks exactly as pictured. No complaints, it’s a solid item and worth the price.
