Wish You Were Here 50 offers fans an exciting new perspective on one of Pink Floyd's most iconic and beloved records.
With tracks like Shine On You Crazy Diamond, the hypnotic Welcome To The Machine, the poignant Have a Cigar and the unmissable title track Wish You Were Here, this album is undoubtedly one of the most important releases in the history of popular music.
The themes of absence, isolation, transience and criticism of the music industry's hypocrisy are embodied in the album's iconic cover. 50 years after its release, Wish You Were Here still resonates powerfully and remains relevant. This special edition allows fans, for the first time, to delve into a crucial moment in Pink Floyd's history.
(LP edition - 3 discs) The 50th-anniversary edition includes the original album plus two discs of studio rarities, featuring alternative versions and unreleased demos, presenting Pink Floyd's eighth studio album in a completely new light, captivating with every listen.
(yellow flame edition - 1 disc) To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Wish You Were Here, the album is being released for the first time on "yellow flame" vinyl.
(Blu-ray edition - 1 disc) The Blu-ray includes for the first time a Dolby Atmos mix of the album, created by James Guthrie, as well as 25 bonus tracks: nine studio rarities and sixteen live recordings captured by the celebrated bootlegger Mike Millard during Pink Floyd's concert at the Los Angeles Sports Arena on April 26, 1975, now officially released for the first time. The live audio has been meticulously restored and remastered by Steven Wilson. The Blu-ray also offers the opportunity to view three screen films used during the 1975 tour, plus a short film by Storm Thorgerson.
(CD edition - 2 discs) The 50th-anniversary edition includes the original album plus a bonus disc of studio rarities, including alternative versions and unreleased demos, presenting Pink Floyd's eighth studio album in a completely new light, inviting repeated listening.
