Cosmic Tubes made by Martin Bläse are tuned to the Hans Cousto frequencies for the planets and other planetary objects and orbital frequencies. These notes are higher octaves than the ones you hear from Paiste Gongs, which are larger objects, and so are lower on the audible spectrum.

Martin makes these tubes from titanium. He says they get extraordinary sound qualities of from this metal as titanium is the only metal with a hexagonal crystal structure. Thanks to his using a flame to work the metal, the Cosmic Tubes also get a rainbow-colored surface.  Please note: Sometimes you will see tiny dark blue scratches on the cosmic tube. These are in the Titanium Tube to begin with, before Martin works on them, they are not imperfections.

Cosmic Tubes comes in a hand-sewn fabric bag. Neither the Cosmic Tube Handle or Cosmic Tube Striker are required to hang or play the tube. But they are nice to have.
