In January 1992, fresh off the glory that was the band's 1991 double-7" debut, Polvo headed into Duck Kee Studios in Raleigh, NC-aka the place where a lot of early Merge stuff was recorded-to track what became their debut full-length. Cor-Crane Secret was released in July of that year, the same month as Sonic Youth's Dirty and Danzig's Danzig III: How the Gods Kill. (Sadly, a triple bill never happened.)Opening with a new take on "Vibracobra," a bit of alternately languid and shuddering guitar churn that had appeared on a single the year before (a perfect way to bridge the Polvo of "then" and "now"), Cor-Crane Secret, with songs such as the herky-jerky "Kalgon" and the youthful-yet-complex "In the Hand, In the Sieve," established the first iteration of that Polvo sound: intricate guitar melodies, Mr. Bowie's plain-spoken vocals politely deep beneath the guitar waves, and cool ideas of how guitars could go together all over the place. In an era where guitar bands seemed to be blooming like wildflowers in a particularly fertile cow pasture, Cor-Crane Secret was a complicated bloom indeed. But Polvo was just getting started.

Purchased for granddaughter to keep in her bathroom. She normally removes jewelry and leaves on sink. A $40 bracelet was lost into the waste basket so this will prevent that. Came flat so I gently bent the branches and it is now a 3 dimensional tree . Beautiful.

Awesome -- they work perfectly
Style: Updated 3.46in Magnet L Red Hooks 2PCS
Got these to store a DeWalt cordless drill and impact driver on the side of a Gladiator garage cabinet -- and they work perfectly for that. The magnet is incredibly strong, easily supporting the bare tools, and seems even to work perfectly well with an 8ah XR battery on the tool -- not that it's necessary since I don't store them like that. I like that the magnet is padded with rubber. Very nice units, I will get more for sure to store other items.

Incredibly strong magnets and thick, robust hooks. Excellent combination!

These magnetic hooks are really strong. Seriously! Each part is made to carry weight and last. The hooks are built out of thick steel stock. They bolt up to large magnets that grab onto steel surfaces and won't let go. The cabinets in my shop are all steel so these worked perfectly on the sides of the lower units. I have a few #12 AWG extension cords that are bulky and heavy. Truthfully, I didn't think these hooks would handle them. They do without any issue. Another application is a 30' long #10/4 AWG SO cable that powers my powder coating oven. It's usually unplugged and wrapped up. It would often end up on the floor where it was constantly in the way. The outside of the oven is all steel but I didn't want to make holes in it for cable hangers. Again, I didn't think that these magnetic hooks could possibly be strong enough to handle the weight of that cable but they do. And once they're attached, it takes a lot of effort to remove them! Amazing performance!!
I'm thrilled with these magnetic hooks. They are super strong and, obviously, simple to use. Importantly, they stay in place as they should. I wholeheartedly recommend these hooks to anyone. Great product!
