LP version. Pressed on 180-gram vinyl. Just when you thought you had heard everything that German electronic music of the 1980s had to offer, up pops an artist who has resolutely stayed off the radar all these years, in spite of having a discography which lists no less than 18 albums. (Hobby) musician Rudiger Lorenz, a pharmacist by trade, completed an album almost every year beginning in the early 1980s, first as limited runs of two to three hundred on cassette, then switching to vinyl in 1983, and CD in 1990. His last album was released in 1998. Two years later Lorenz died - unexpectedly and far too soon. In his youth, Lorenz became familiar with bands like Kraftwerk, NEU!, Can, and Cluster. These bands had a lasting influence on his relationship with music, guiding him toward electronica. Electronic music carried a huge practical advantage for Lorenz in pursuing his craft: he was by nature more of a loner, rather than someone who fed off the group dynamic of playing in a band. Soon after purchasing his first synthesizer set-up he quit his band and installed a studio of sorts in his living room. In 1981 he released his first cassette album. Initially intended merely as something to be handed out to friends, the music was surprisingly well received, encouraging Lorenz to persevere. Year in, year out. After work and on weekends. Most copies were sold in the USA. His synthesizer collection grew larger, containing kit pieces, home-made elements, and newly purchased units. One of his own creations, the Loran Modular synthesizer, even found it's way into various synthesizer lexica. Lorenz, however, was by no means a classic electronics tinkerer. His technical skills were limited to soldering, as he admitted in a radio interview for HR3, the only interview he ever gave. Southland was created in 1984 and perfectly encapsulates the two facets that dominated German electronic music at that time: On the one hand, poppy, at times absurd tracks, informed by such pre-NDW (German new wave) musicians as Purolator; on the other hand more plangent, spherical music echoing Tangerine Dream and the like.

Tracks:
1.1 Imbrassion
1.2 New Morning (Sandwich Islands)
1.3 Strange Feeling
1.4 Francis and Friends
1.5 Friendly Islands (Tonga)
1.6 New Caledonia
1.7 Forgotten Island (Hervey Islands)
1.8 Open Valley (New Zealand)
1.9 Southland (Antarctica)

One of the best chew toys you can buy for your puppy! This kept him occupied for quite a while and it is one of his favorites.

Had a 6mo. old teething (English Bulldog) & this has entertained her for 9 mo.!
Size: Medium, Size: Medium
A chew toy lasting over 6 mo. is generally very good, for this breed & this brand! I kept it in her cage at night, so she wouldn't get board & start chewing on her paws. BC I felt it was a safe toy to use in this manner. "It was safe for my teething Bulldog." "Much, much better than other chew toys from this brand!" Others such as the Orange Pretzel they absolutely love! However, they have always splintered into very sharp edges of plastic, which cause the dogs mouth's to bleed (pokes their gums) & then NEED THROWN AWAY! This Key Chain Chew Toy was "really good" compared to other Nylabone brand chew toys, I have purchased! My girls mouth did not bleed from chewing on it:) "So, I am very pleased with this teething ring!" & would buy it again! Notice how the plastic splinters on the ends? Once the toy gets to his point I feel it is definitely time to be replaced! I would recommend this chew toy for a teething med. sized dog! The one I purchased was fairly large. & stayed together safely:) This is the only Nylabone Chew Toy I would ever, leave in a crate at night, thus far! Good Job Nylabone!

My dogs love their "keys".
Size: X-Small
My dog loves this. The only negative is that he does chew through it and I have to pick up the pieces or hope that he's not eating it.

Not long lasting for a chewer!
Size: Medium
These are massive! I have a golden retriever puppy and she chewed through the yellow ring very quickly. They keys are much more durable.
