When the hedonist Simon Raven finally died, a good forty years later than one might have supposed based upon his hard-living ways, the Guardian wrote that it was “proof the devil looks after his own.” In spite of not being one himself (or maybe even because of it), Raven writes perceptively and movingly here about the origins of the English gentleman and his 20th Century decline. A cousin of Nancy Mitford’s Noblesse Oblige, this book asserts that the upper class will survive. It is gentility that is on life support.

“It has always, for example, been the mark of a gentleman to lend public support to the established religion of his country—however strong his private doubts.”

--Simon Raven

One of my dog’s favorites!
Flavor Name: Americana
I repurchase these training treat chips for my dog over and over again. I usually buy the chicken flavor but my dog also loves the turkey and beef. So far the quality has been very good and very consistent. My sensitive dog has zero issues consuming these treats and is always happy to be rewarded with them. Highly recommend.

Great treats/Terrible shipping
Flavor Name: Americana
Great single ingredient product, almost always arrives in broken pieces as it is shipped in a bag. Advertisement says "easily broken" so they can be used for smaller training treats, not only are they easily broken but they likely will be on arrival.

The perfect treat for being a "good boy", after walkies...or anytime they ask.
Flavor Name: Americana
Healthy and my picky little dogs love them. Even my little old girl who doesn't have many teeth left...they are just thin enough for her to be able to chew them.
