The Mouse Alpha1-MG (Alpha1-Microglobulin) ELISA immunoassay kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Mouse Alpha1-MG. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Mouse Alpha1-MG and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Mouse Alpha1-MG, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Mouse Alpha1-MG. You can calculate the concentration of Mouse Alpha1-MG in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

Even my boyfriend keeps commenting how much he likes it. It's a usable piece of art! I will comment that the earring holes can be a little tricky since the leaves are turned all different ways. You have to be strategic with how you line up your long/dangle-y earrings with your studs so everybody fits and can be seen. A little tricky. But not a deal breaker - especially when it's so easy on the eye. The other slight negative is that this really isn't the best necklace holder. I would have thought, "No problem!" But it's a bit awkward. Especially if you actually intend to see all your earrings. You'll end up hanging most of your necklaces from the top most branch - but they slide down into the crevice to stay. Then you've got a lot of overlapping. And trickiness to retrieve the exact necklace you want with ease. However, this is still a fabulous earring tree. I can't say enough good things about it. Love the little basket for miscellaneous. Hair bands, lip gloss, etc.

I wasn't sure about purchasing the jewelry stand at first (I had my doubts), but those doubts quickly disappeared upon the arrival/unpackaging of the jewelry stand. I waited a month for the price to go down (I'm just a cheapskate) and it did. It went from $45 or so, down to $25 or so. So, unless its life or death, be patient and buy it when the price is right. OVERALL? In general, I was pleased with the product. It wasn't my dream jewelry stand, but it was worth my money and the wait.
