During the Revolutionary War, tension grew between local militias and a standing army. The Founding Fathers attempted to strike a balance, enshrining an army, navy, and a "well-regulated Militia" in the Constitution. The US soon witnessed the rise of a professional military, a boon to its successes in the War of 1812, the Mexican War, and the Civil War. However, after the Civil War, the US soon learned that the purpose of a peacetime army is to prepare for war. When war did arrive, it arrived with a vengeance, gutting the trenches of the Great War with effective innovations: tanks, planes, machine guns, and poison gas. The US embraced the technology that would win both world wars and change the nature of battle in the Second World War. The nuclear era brought encounters defined by stalemate--from the Cold War conflicts of Korea and Vietnam to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Since 9/11, the US has been frustrated by unconventional warfare, including terrorism and cyberwar, largely negating the technological advantage it had held. One of the better American sunscreens

One of the better sunscreens you can get in the U.S. for an affordable price. Neutrogena’s facial sunscreens can be a hit or miss, but this is their better ones. I’m used to using Asian sunscreens that feel like a light moisturizer or serum on the face so I’ve been spoiled.
It’s nice to find an American sunscreen that is spf 50+ with no white cast that also feels lightweight, non-greasy, and doesn’t sting my eyes. This sunscreen fits the bill. I used four pumps of product to cover my face to get proper coverage. I could have used a little more tbh. The serum is a very light beige and a bit watery in texture. It blends out invisible as advertised. The finish is shiny and a little greasy looking at first, I’ll admit, but it dries down to a natural finish. I did use a Korean toner pad before applying the sun serum. The end result with the Neutrogena sun serum is a natural finish with a subtle healthy glow in 70 degree weather. It does sting my eyes when I sweat or exercise though. One star off for that. Also it does not pill under makeup.

Great SPF for daily use

Wonderful for daily use and for under makeup! I love the feel of this SPF. Leaves a nice hydrated feel and makeup goes on top of it perfectly. I have been more compliant with wearing sunscreen everyday since I purchased this. Give it a try!

This SPF 60 makes for an effective moisturizer.

Love this stuff. Definitely moisturizes as it's protecting. Only thing, am unable to put around my eyes, as it stings, so will have to find something else to protect the sensitive eye area from the sun. Love the compact size as well and you only need a one small pump for your face. It goes a long way.

Eyes burn but good for face

Lightweight and it works!

I love how this sunblock goes on so smoothly. I use it daily and have not gotten burned in this extreme Florida weather. I also like that I don’t sweat using it, unlike some other sunscreens I’ve use.
