Mugo Pine is a large, slow-growing conifer shrub with a broad-spreading habit and short blunted dark green needles.  The erect cones can form in clusters and mature to black.  Grows best in full sun with slightly acidic and moist soils. 

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low maintenance plant. Susceptible to tip blights, rust, and rot.  Watch for pine needle scale, borers, and sawflies.
