The author, Vincent P. Gillen, Greenock born, is the Social History Curator at the McLean Museum & Art Gallery, and has worked there for the last twenty years. He has previously published books on the histories of Greenock Morton, Inverclyde
Cinemas, WW2 in Inverclyde, ScottÕs Shipbuilders, the 5th Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders and InverclydeÕs Great War.
