Handcrafted, 0.75" thick pine lends this beautiful unit a rustic and lasting appeal, and a 1.5" diameter entry hole allows easy access for bluebirds and other songbirds while deterring larger feathered threats and other predators. A substantial predator guard offers staunch protection at the entry, while an extra internal baffle is well situated to safeguard the nest at the rear of the house. The rough hewn wood of the unit's interior gives fledgling birds a helpful grip when moving about the nest, and thin ventilation slots positioned below the roof lip encourage proper air flow and ventilation for your flock. An extended, overhanging roof gives a measure of protection against rain and other outdoor elements, and floor gaps in each corner of the shelter facilitate drainage to ensure a healthy flock.
