Lymphedema is a complex, chronic, progressive and debilitating disease affecting up to 250 million persons worldwide. In developed Countries, the most frequent ethiopatogenesis is related to cancer treatments which actually lead, in some cases, to a therapeutical paradox "cured from cancer, living with a chronic benign debilitating disease". Lymphedema patients require a multidisciplinary approach where microsurgeons and physical therapists should be allied to offer the best combined treatment.
