Mute is happy to announce the 40th Anniversary Edition of The Pop Group's highly influential and innovative debut album Y, originally released in 1979, remastered (from the original tapes) and cut half speed at Abbey Road. The Vinyl and CD deluxe sets will also include the debut single "She Is Beyond Good And Evil", the 10 track album Alien Blood, and the album y Live. The Pop Group's y regularly appears in 'Greatest Album' lists - such as #35 on Pitchfork's Greatest Albums of the 70's, The Wire's 100 Most Important Records Ever Made, and Uncut Magazine's 100 Greatest Debut Albums. Alien Blood is the result of the band's meticulous process of revisiting the original 2" tapes of their studio sessions and recordings, unearthing never-before-heard material, whilst exposing the raw skeletons of iconic tracks such as the original velocity of "Thief of Fire (Bass Addict)". Alien Blood reveals the life of y before everything was finalized, exposing revelatory dimensions within these iconic works. The y Live album is an essential addendum to the original release, one that captures all the fierce urgency of The Pop Group's live performances at the time. Comprised of y era recordings captured at a variety of locations including New York, Manchester, and Brussels - the latter on a bill with William Burroughs and Joy Division - y Live exemplifies what had proved so thrilling about The Pop Group. The Pop Group went on to release two further singles and one further studio album, For How Much Do We Tolerate Mass Murder, before splitting up in 1981. Mark Stewart from the band then embarked on a solo career, releasing his pioneering album Learning To Live With Cowardice in 1983. Gareth Sager and Bruce Smith went on to form Rip Rig & Panic alongside Neneh Cherry. The Pop Group reformed in 2010 to tour and have since released two new studio albums. The band will be touring at the end of 2019 and throughout 2020 in support of the album.

Not JUST a Parenting Book

Good Inside and Dr. Becky are everything the world needs now. A strong, sturdy perspective that truly, wholeheartedly believes in the good inside us all. That is truly not cheap talk. It. is. the. real. deal. This book is a parenting book that covers big picture philosophical understandings of parenthood AND the more practical, day-to-day implementation of said philosophies. Dr. Becky is incredible about explaining the underlying reasons for why kids do what they do and why WE respond as we do and then she talks us through exactly how to apply the "most generous interpretation" so that we can do better for the next generation AND for ourselves. Good Inside is also a REparenting book and a leadership book. She will teach you how to show up for the realness of your own life for yourself and for the kids that you love most dearly. Truly, there is not a better way to spend your money. Maybe go ahead and stock up on highlighters and your favorite pens too because, if you're like me, you will be highlighting and underlining left and right. It's truly that game-changing. Get ready to finally understand your job description as a parent and your kids' job descriptions as wonderful, little growing humans in the world. And if you yourself need healing from your own childhood, this will open the door for that too. I know that you, dear Amazon review reader, do not know me but I am not really prone to hyperbole. I do not feel it is an exaggeration to say that Dr. Becky and Good Inside is game-changing. This purchase is truly an investment in yourself and the kind of parent and person you want to be and an investment in your kids and their future.

Good advice overall
Format: Paperback
This is an interesting read to help with your child’s self esteem and behavior. The first several chapters on the psychology behind behavior were more helpful and interesting than the second half of the book that addresses specific behaviors. Also, if you follow Dr Becky on social media, most of her advice is already in her content. However, I’m glad I read this book, even it wasn’t life changing.

So incredibly helpful with sensitive kiddo
Format: Hardcover
This book has been so, so wonderfully helpful, my husband jokes it’s now my bible. Kiddo went from like 10-20 meltdowns a day to only a couple, and those are resolved in like a tenth of the time. I feel so much less frustrated and more connected, and able to handle it when he does dysregulate in a way that makes me proud. It’s also honestly been healing for me as a child of loving parents who nonetheless didn’t learn all this stuff and did a lot of invalidating and shaming. It’s great theory and very easily digestible and applicable practice combined. I wish I’d found it 3 years sooner and I can’t recommend it enough.

Pretty great!
Size: 3 Count, Size: 3 Count
Hygiene is obviously a big deal. I ordered these to separate which cloths wash different parts of my body, we don’t mix the bottom half with the top half on this side, LOL. These worked pretty great, no complaints really. The rough side feels nice on the skin and you definitely get that exfoliating feeling. The soft side is neat & smooth on the skin & the loops are great to hang on shower rack hooks.
Only downside for me is they’re a little hard to keep a hold of while in the shower, LOL. A small hand loop or something may have helped. But I also think it’s something you can just get used to. I found them easier to use and keep a hold of whilst facing the water.
Overall, a great purchase! Hope this helps!
