Formation & Characteristics
Naturally formed smoky quartz crystallizes in a hexagonal lattice and presents a range of transparency from translucent brown to near‑opaque. The color results from natural irradiation activating color centers around aluminum impurities in the crystal. This generator tower shows a visible diamond-shaped window at the base of the point and contains fire-red inclusions with black speckles. A small amount of minute natural damage occurs on the apex.
