The Travellers Cross © is a St James cross placed within the Scallop Shell symbol of El Camino de Santiago (one of the greatest journeys in the world).

Detail: This black-oxide-coated-steel dog-tag measures 45mm in length (including the hanging bail) by 23mm wide. It hangs on a black steel cable chain which measures approx 50cm (20") long. The stainless-steel dog tag is engraved on the front with the Travellers Cross symbol. 

Symbolism:

The 1,000-year-old journey to the shrine of St. James in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela is known as the Way of St. James (El Camino de Santiago - in Spanish). Some 2000,000 pilgrims travel to the city each year from all over the world to find inspiration and/or deeper spiritual understanding.  Many carry with them a symbol of St James like this - believed to keep them safe.
