The Hiray Round Dining Table is a masterclass in "lightness," using wirework to create a silhouette that is as much a sculpture as it is a piece of furniture. The Hiray collection is inspired by the technique of welded wire, resulting in a design that is essential, functional, and deeply emotive. Constructed from painted galvanized steel. The galvanization process ensures the table is exceptionally resistant to rust, making it ideal even for high-salinity coastal environments. The tabletop features a rhythmic series of parallel metal wires that allow light (and rain) to pass through, ensuring the table never feels "heavy" in a garden or on a small balcony. While made of rigid metal, the edges and base are subtly curved, a hallmark of the Palomba Serafini design philosophy which seeks to bring "warmth" to cold materials. Specifically designed for outdoor life; it is salt-fog tested and resistant to sudden temperature changes. The use of metal aligns with Kartell’s sustainability goals, as it is a highly durable and 100% recyclable material.
