Nase:
Der 2020er Albillo Mayor duftet herrlich nach gelben und weißen Früchten mit einem salzigen Touch. Pfirsich und Nektarine liefern sich ein Wechselspiel mit Quitte und Birne. Grapefruit und Zitronenzesten sorgen dabei für eine herbe Frische. Salzmandeln als auch Rauchmandeln bringen das besondere Etwas ins Glas. Popcorn und Salzkaramell runden diesen salzigen Gedanken ab. Er wirkt linear und geradlinig. Ein wenig Kurkuma und Safran sorgen im Hintergrund für dezente, orientalische Akzente. Akazienhonig sowie etwas Nussbutter hinterlassen ebenfalls einen ungewohnten, aber sehr passenden Eindruck.

Gaumen:
Im Antrunk bahnt er sich druckvoll und erhaben seinen Weg. Dabei packt der El Lebrero deutlich zu. Seine Ausgewogenheit aus Säuredruck und alkoholischer Süße hält den Spannungsbogen hoch. Sein feines Tannin bildet sein Rückgrat und versorgt ihn mit einem angenehmen Bitter. Die reife Aromatik funktioniert wunderbar zu seinem mineralischen, kargen Charakter. Mit Zeit und Luft im Glas breitet er sich großzügig aus. Schmelzig umgarnt er dabei langanhaltend den Gaumen. Im Nachhall kommen die gelben Früchte, Salzmandeln als auch orientalischen Gewürze wunderbar zum Vorschein.
