Bruichladdich 2011/2021 - 10 y.o. - Bere Barley
Besonderheiten: Dieser Single Malt Whisky wird zu 100% aus der seltenen Bere-Gerste hergestellt, einer sechszeiligen Edelgerste, die zu den ältesten Schottlands zählt. Die Bere-Gerste wurde auf der Dunlossit Estate auf Islay angebaut und verleiht diesem Whisky einen einzigartigen Charakter. Nach der Destillation im Jahr 2011 reifte der Whisky für 10 Jahre in amerikanischen Eichenfässern und wurde 2021 abgefüllt. Abgefüllt mit 50% Alkoholgehalt, präsentiert sich dieser Whisky in Fassstärke und ohne Kühlfiltration oder Farbstoffe.
Tasting Notes:
- Nase: Komplexe Aromen von frischen Zitrusfrüchten, grünen Äpfeln und floralen Noten, begleitet von einem Hauch von Eichenholz und Vanille.
- Gaumen: Kraftvoll und abgerundet mit Noten von Aprikosen, reifen Pfirsichen und Apfelkompott, ergänzt durch süße Schokoladen- und Limettenakzente sowie malzige Getreidenoten.
- Abgang: Lang und delikat mit Anklängen von Lebkuchen, Milchschokolade, Marzipan und cremiger Vanille, gefolgt von einer feinen maritimen Note und einem Hauch von Gerstenzucker.
Destillerie/Abfüller: Die Bruichladdich Distillery wurde 1881 von den Brüdern Robert, William und John Gourlay Harvey gegründet und liegt am Loch Indaal auf der schottischen Insel Islay. Sie ist bekannt für ihre innovativen Methoden und die Verwendung traditioneller Techniken. Bruichladdich legt großen Wert auf Authentizität und Transparenz in der Herstellung ihrer Whiskys.

Fantastic Fintie: Saving My Apple Remote
Not a lot to say about this little case other than I absolutely love it! The red is a great color and somewhat matches the general color theme of my TV area. I don't have the smallest hands around and often worried about dropping this (very expensive) remote. I was so afraid of my Apple TV remote slipping and breaking, getting lost, etc that I actually wrapped it up in a microfiber cloth whenever I wasn't using it. On top of that I often picked it up upside-down which is easy for me to do as I'm partially blind and didn't always feel for either the volume button, top sensor, or lightning port to orient it properly. I'd be swiping on the bottom, thinking it's the top, until I realized with chagrin that I had been touching the inert piece of plastic that is the bottom third of the remote's face for the last five seconds while wondering why my Apple TV wasn't talking to me or making any noise the way it was supposed to. This case solves all of these problems. The remote is easy to hold onto, I don't feel like it'll get easily lost, and I never mess up its orientation anymore. Nice job, Finty.

I saw the helpful votes this review has received, so I figured I'd post an update for you guys! I always appreciate reviews that keep potential buyers up to date, giving them an idea of how a product holds up over time.
I got this little case 3 years ago. It's still doing great! It still serves its purpose beautifully and I am very happy with it! It's traveled with me and my Apple TV from home to a college dorm room and to vacations too! It hasn't stretched out and still holds the remote secure. Visually, it makes the remote easier to find and tactually it's easier for me to orient so I don't swipe ineffectually on the wrong end of the remote like I did before.

Much Easier to Handle

First let me say that I didn't want to have to buy a case for my remote. It's such a beautiful device that I hate to hide it but unfortunately I have to because it's just not very practical to use. First, it's so slim that it's hard to pick up from a flat surface. Second, it's so slippery that I was afraid it would fall out of my hands. And third, I have tile floors so if it ever fell, I know it would shatter. The Fintie case solves all of these problems. It gives the remote just the right amount of thickness and grippiness to make it easy to pick up and use, and I feel like it if ever fell onto my tile floor, the Fintie case would protect it from chips and shatters. Admittedly, the case does detract from the beauty of the remote, but it does make the remote more usable day-to-day. And in a sense it protects the beauty of the remote because a shattered one wouldn't look very nice now would it?

Perfect Fit & Actually Glows!

We recently replaced our old Apple TV remote and decided to switch up the cover this time. We had a red one before, but chose the glow-in-the-dark lime green for this remote — and I’m so glad we did. It’s much easier to find in the dark now!
The case fits the new Apple TV Siri Remote perfectly and feels snug without being difficult to put on. The silicone material seems thick and durable, like it won’t tear or stretch out easily. The honeycomb texture also makes it less slippery, which is great since these remotes are so slim.
And yes — it really does glow in the dark! If you leave it near a window or under a light for a bit, it glows well enough to spot quickly at night.
Overall, it’s a simple but very practical upgrade that protects the remote and makes it easier to find.
