Ursächlich für diese Verhaltensanomalie ist eine in den Synapsen veränderte Signalübertragung des Neurotransmitters Dopamin. Bei betroffenen Hunden kommt es zu unvorhersehbaren Anfällen mit erhöhter Aggressivität, die episodisch auftreten können. Vor einem episodischen Anfall erstarren die Hunde häufig (glasiger Blick) und sie sind weder ansprechbar noch können sie ihre Umgebung wahrnehmen. Der Zustand des Hundes ist unkontrolliert und kann zu aggressivem Verhalten führen, ganz unabhängig vom tatsächlichen Charakter des betroffenen Hundes. Hunde mit einer Gen-Kopie des A22-Allels für die Episodische Aggression (Genotyp: A0/A22 oder A10/A22) können bereits aggressives, impulsives Verhalten aufweisen. A little too hard for our dog.

These are definitely durable balls. They are a harder than our dog prefers. He does play with them a little and enjoys squeaking them, but he doesn't like to play fetch with them and that is primarily the only thing he really enjoys doing with balls.

Heavy chewer approved.

My pomsky will destroy a toy in minutes. Ropes, and the "indestructible" nylon type stuffs are no match for my furry shark. This ball has stood up to him like David. He loves the crunch and it is so much more tolerable than a squeaker. These will be a staple in his toy box - Chuckit toys are really the most durable dog toys I have found in three years.
