Karoly Grosz war ein ungarisch-amerikanischer Illustrator von Filmplakaten der klassischen Hollywood-Ära. Als Art Director bei Universal Pictures war Grosz in den 1930er Jahren für die Werbekampagnen des Unternehmens zuständig und steuerte Hunderte von eigenen Illustrationen bei. Besonders bekannt ist er für seine dramatischen, farbenfrohen Plakate für klassische Horrorfilme. Grosz' bekannteste Plakate bewarben die frühen Universal Classic Monsters-Filme wie Dracula (1931), Frankenstein (1931), Die Mumie (1932), Der unsichtbare Mann (1933) und Frankensteins Braut (1935). Neben dem Horrorgenre hat er auch Plakate für den epischen Kriegsfilm All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) und die Screwball-Komödie My Man Godfrey (1936) entworfen.
