Mit Hilfe von Master of Wine Steve Smith gründete der australische Geschäftsmann Terry Peabody hier 1997 das Gut. Damals war ein Großteil des Landes in Gimblett Gravels im Besitz einer Zementfirma, die es abbauen wollte. Nur dank der Bemühungen der lokalen Weingüter konnten die Rebflächen erhalten werden. Craggy Range ist für seine außergewöhnliche Qualität bekannt und produziert nur Einzellagenweine aus eigenen Trauben. Der Besitzer Terry Peabody hat diesen Wein, Le Sol, bereits als seinen Favoriten der ganzen Reihe bezeichnet, dank seines lebendigen Charakters und seiner Fähigkeit, im Keller jahrzehntelang herrlich zu altern. Der Wein ist nach dem französischen Wort "le sol" benannt, was "der Boden" bedeutet, ein Verweis auf die steinigen Böden Gimblett Gravels, wo er sein Leben beginnt. Die Trauben für diesen Wein stammen aus dem steinigsten Teil des Weinbergs, der mit einem alten Syrah-Klon bepflanzt ist, welcher ursprünglich in den 1840er Jahren nach Neuseeland gebracht wurde. Das tiefe Purpurrot wird durch intensive Noten von Waldbeeren, Cassis und dunklen Pflaumen ergänzt, zusammen mit Anklängen von Lavendel, Graphit und Holzrauch. Am Gaumen gibt es einen großzügigen, vollen Körper, feste Tannine und einen sehr langen Abgang, der von dunklen Beeren, Wintergewürz und tiefen Noten von sonnengebräunter Erde, poliertem Leder und Waldboden dominiert wird.Shipping Notes

Gorgeous But Size Up

The suit has a beautiful, rich burgundy color — truly eye‑catching and elegant. Unfortunately, the fit was a major issue. I recommend sizing up at least one size, especially if you have fuller thighs or glutes. The pants were very tight in the thigh and buttocks area, the vest didn’t cover the lower hip area, and the jacket sleeves ran short with a tight fit in the shoulders. Overall, the small felt more like a youth small rather than an adult small.
Our set also did not include the pocket square as advertised, though it did come with a white dress shirt and a mini black tie with a matching pocket square. The material itself felt okay — not bad, but not great.
We really wanted to love this suit because the color is gorgeous, but due to the sizing inconsistencies and missing item, we couldn’t keep it.

Impressive Quality and Style – A Perfect Prom Look!

A Good Value

The suit is a good value. Ordered for senior prom for my son. He is 5’10 athletic build and between 165-170 lbs so we ordered the small since he wanted a slim fit and nothing that would be very loose. The suit fit him great, not too snug , the jacket has a satin finish on the lapel and edge of pockets which gives it an elevated elegant look. The jacket has an interior pocket but the rest are just for aesthetic as they do not open. I did have to cut a small slit in order to use the pocket square. The pants fit like a glove but you may want to size up if you are very muscular. The material is light weight which is perfect for prom season or warmer weather. The vest was oversized but we were not planning to use the vest anyway. Quality: several hanging threads that needed to be snipped but no big deal, the stitching was even and straight and the interior had piping of a complimentary fabric. After a full night of dancing and activities he did not have any issues with stitching breaking or splitting of seams. The buttons are black with a silver edge which give the suit some sophisticated flair but keep this in mind if you plan to style with gold. Overall, I am very pleased with this suit considering it’s price point. It’s perfect for a teen that will attend various senior events. Shipping took 2 weeks so plan accordingly and pay attention to the expected delivery date.
