Even the bravest knights shudder and their armor rattles when they hear the nuns' stories: “The mist awakens the restless souls of the Cathars, hunted during the Crusades. And they are coming for justice now!” To restore peace to Carcassonne, the players must work together to put the wandering ghosts to rest.

Carcassonne: The Mist is the first version of Carcassonne that can be played cooperatively. By working together, enough points must be collected. You lose as a group if all the tiles are gone or if too many ghosts have ended up on the playing field. With each new tile that features fog, new ghosts come into play. Only by completely closing off a mist field with tiles can the spirits be put to rest. But be careful! The number of tiles is limited and a minimum number of points must be achieved.

Carcassonne: The Mist has 6 different levels, with each level introducing new, challenging game elements. The game also contains the rules for the “Ghosts, Castles and Graveyards” variant. Using these rules, Carcassonne: The Mist can be used as a normal extension to the basic game. Plenty of variety for both Carcassonne fans and new players!
