Leinen ist sehr stark, saugfähig und trocknet schneller als Baumwolle. Aufgrund dieser Eigenschaften ist Leinen bei heißem Wetter angenehm zu tragen und wird für die Verarbeitung in Kleidungsstücken wertgeschätzt. Leinen hat auch andere charakteristische Merkmale, insbesondere seine Neigung zur Faltenbildung, was es zu einem sehr charmanten Stoff für leichtere Kleidungsstücke wie T-Shirts, Tops und Hemden macht.
